Qualifications:

Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience OR BA/BS Degree in Agriculture, natural resources, agronomy or related field of study

  • extensive experience, including national level experience, with National Grasslands
  • grazing permit administration and other resource issues specific to National
  • Grasslands.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word
Duties:

Provide guidance and support to field-going rangelands program employees in the performance of their permit administration duties. As funding allows, complete the draft "Desk Guide for Working with Grazing Associations"

  • field support to rangelands employees   50%
  • writing/editing "Desk Guide for Working with Grazing Associations"   40%
  • provide in person permit administration trainings within the Rocky Mountain Region   10%

Other:
  • Travel Requirements: if funding allows, travel to in-person meetings or to provide training for rangelands employees within the Rocky Mountain Region will be required.
  • Overnight travel: once or twice per year, depending upon funding
  • Physical requirements: Physical requirements for the position are to be able to use a computer to compose and edit documents, ability to look at documents both on screen and hard copy, and the ability to hear other people talking, whether in person, by telephone, or by computer.
