For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, and technical support to the Bureau of Reclamation through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee. PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions. This position is funded for 1,820 hours. Qualifications:BA/BS Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum additional experience of 20 year(s) in reviewing technical documents, drawings and specifications, writing technical reports, and coordination with project stakeholders and contractors. - Must possess a current Professional Engineering license in good standing with the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration or be able to reactivate license registration within 3 months of starting work to an active license status. Phoenix Area office will pay for reactivation or license fees through reimbursement. Required to possess and maintain a valid driver?s license.

Duties:This position serves as an experienced engineer providing civil engineering expertise for a variety of complex projects and activities in the Native American Affairs Office. Work may include design, studies, analyses, documentation, inspections, assessments, investigations, reviews, cost estimating, compliance evaluations, and evaluating facility capacities and operations. - Design: Completes and/or reviews of engineering designs to include: 1) planning and conducting engineering studies or evaluations such as preliminary, appraisal, feasibility, final design, and value planning/value engineering. 25%
- Project Management: Develops, monitors, and manages project plans that outline the scope, schedule, and budget of assigned projects. This includes coordination and communicating with other groups and offices throughout the organization such as program and project managers, engineering, etc. Managing changes to the project plans with external stakeholders, tribes, and regulatory authorities; identifying and addressing issues prior to adverse impacts to the schedule and budget and participating and/or leading technical teams. 50%
- Technical Working Groups: participates on and/or leads technical working groups or teams. May provide technical organizational representation and collaboration on teams external to the organization, including external stakeholders and partners. 25%
