For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and operational support to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions. This position is funded for 624 hours.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in real-estate related paralegal work; issuing title insurance policies for real property, or conducting appraisals primarily for rural lands. OR BA/BS Degree in Natural Resource Planning, Environmental Planning and Policy, Environmental Science, or Wildlife Management with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in Federal land acquisition, disposal, and outgrants, preferably with Department of Interior or Department of Agriculture.

  • Fluency in Microsoft programs - particularly Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive - preferred
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat
Duties:

The Realty Assistant supports the Southeast?s Division of Realty by helping manage a wide range of land and realty transactions, including rights-of-way activities. This role also contributes to realty-related planning by preparing coordination materials and environmental compliance documents in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and Council on Environmental Quality regulations.

  • Conduct planning activities for Rights of Way   40%
  • Rights of Way project coordination   40%
  • Assist with a variety of real estate management issues across U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service programs   10%
  • Properly file documents within USFWS electronic directory.   10%

  • Several on-line trainings including FOIA, IT Security training, Privacy Act, Information Act, and all other federally mandated trainings for contractors.
