The Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Administrative / Office support for individuals age 55 and over to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a grant administered program through National Older Worker Career Center (NOWCC). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise and experience will truly be valued. The EPA provides a wonderful work atmosphere, and you'll be working side-by-side with EPA staff that are doing important work every day. Pay & Benefits: Pay rate: $18.01 /hr. Benefits: Paid Health Insurance Premium, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Time, Paid Federal Holidays + One Individual Holiday, and optional Vision and Dental Insurance available. Due to COVID-19, this position is eligible for telecommuting until instructions are given on when to safely return to the EPA facility. Please note that due to EPA Policy, this opportunity only applies to United States Citizens.


Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Human Resources, Communications OR BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Communications Previously completed training in Managing Multiple Automated Databases

  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, WordPerfect, Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS SharePoint
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)

Provide high level data/technical support to the Region 8 Mission Support Division (MSD) Branch Chiefs including HR processing, records and task management and communications.

  • Manages MSD?s web presence. Maintains and updates MSD?s website/TEAMS and works with SMEs to review, evaluate and make recommendations to content. Also provides critical review and input for Branch communications efforts.   40%
  • Serves as performance review and performance award coordinator for Branch Chiefs. Reviews all performance review documents for policy compliance.   20%
  • Provides critical review, editing and technical support for Branches.   20%
  • Serve as divisional records point of contact.   15%
  • Other duties as assigned.   5%

  • For proprietary database systems and functions. Some basic web design instruction may be available for a candidate with strong marketing/communication skills.
