The Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Administrative / Office support for individuals age 55 and over to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a grant administered program through National Older Worker Career Center (NOWCC). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise and experience will truly be valued. You'll be working side-by-side with EPA staff that are doing important work every day. Pay rate: $12.72/hr. This is the maximum amount budgeted through the grant to support this program. Benefits: Paid Health Insurance Premium if working 60 or more hours in 2 week pay period. Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Time, Paid Federal Holidays, One Individual Holiday, and optional Vision and Dental Insurance available. This position does require a background check prior to onboarding. Due to COVID-19, this position may be remote until instructions are given on when to safely return to the EPA facility. Finalist for this position must live within a commutable distance from Region EPA office in downtown Dallas, TX. Please note that due to EPA Policy, this opportunity only applies to United States Citizens.


Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in in real estate, paralegal, administrative, business or related field OR BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Business, Legal, Computer Science, Library Science, Information Management, or related field.

  • Experience required with MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint

The incumbent acts as Program Assistant in the Enforcement Assessment Section. Works individually and as part of teams to investigate land ownership, individuals and corporate entities.

  • Conducts online research on corporate entities and individuals using EPA paid subscription services as well as readily available information online. Uses online data services to research operational history, financial status, and corporate relationships   40%
  • Assists with the reviewing of financial instruments.   30%
  • Drafts summaries of research conducted to include references.   15%
  • Assist Section staff in reviewing and organizing documents from a variety of sources, including EPA and other federal government offices, state, county and local government offices, corporate records, libraries, on-line computer research, etc., and prepare a memorandum of findings. Responsibility requires knowledge of tracking systems, databases/spreadsheets. Analytical and organization skills are required for this task. Attention to detail and accuracy is required. Knowledge of general data processing standards and procedures helpful   15%
