This is a virtual position.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience OR BA/BS Degree in Agriculture, natural resources, agronomy or related field of study.

  • Knowledge of Canada lynx and grizzly bear management, and the requirements to complete ESA consultation.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
Duties:

The mentor will aid in mentoring new employees or employees early in their career on completing resource reports and required survey methodology.

  • Meet with trainees to discuss and/or review resource reports and analyses to ensure resource reports meet requirements. This may occur at the District Office or virtually.   50%
  • Train and/or assist trainee in completing and recording required wildlife surveys. This will likely occur in the field.   50%

  • Required Safety Gear: Hard hat.
  • Safety Gear Use: When in the field, a hard hat must be worn.
  • Physical requirements: Able to traverse uneven, steep terrain. often in inclement weather. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
