The Agricultural Conservation Experienced Services (ACES) Program offers unique opportunities in Scientific, Technical, and Agricultural support for individuals aged 55 and over to support the Department of Agriculture?s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) through a grant administered program awarded to National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions). This is a unique program where your talents, expertise, and experience will truly be valued. The ACES program provides an opportunity to work side-by-side with NRCS staff that are doing important work every day. Qualifications:

Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in Natural Resource Management/Soil Conservation OR BA/BS Degree in Agriculture, Natural Resources, Agronomy or related field of study

  • Valid State Driver?s license
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
  • PowerPoint, SharePoint
Duties:

This position will be working with the Conservation Planning and Technical Assistance Division (CPTAD)Technical Service Providers (TSP) Branch. The enrollee will collaborate and assist the TSP Branch with various tasks to fully implement a successful TSP program throughout the country.

  • Assist the Branch Chief with the implementation the TSP Business Plan that incorporates input from TSP team members.   40%
  • Develop a training plan/strategy that includes a comprehensive needs assessment identifying common training needs for TSPs.   30%
  • Assist in the evaluation and improvement of conservation program strategies in support of Technical Service Providers.   15%
  • Assist with reporting accomplishments on TSP share-point task planner.   15%

  • Travel Requirements: Occasionally to satisfy the duties of the position.
